Myrtlewood Single Ply Steambent - 7 x 14

Recently completed this lovely snare. Shell is a 7 x 14 single ply steambent shell from Ego Drum Supply. Roundover with 45 inner bearing edges. Nice and simple tung oil finish. Lugs are vintage Gretsch, retro 3 point throw and buttplate from DrumsandSome. Triple flange hoops from Gibraltar (for the time being).

Slingerland 5 x 14 COB "Krupa" Snare

A really nice example of this classic snare. This is the second one I've owned. This one has the original snare wires with the "metal tab" end attaching to the buttplate, and a smooth Zoomatic strainer. 5 x 14 chrome on brass shell, and COB sticksaver hoops. I need to do some more research to see if the muffler knob is original.

Tama Royal Star Snare - Pre King Beat?

Another snare I recently picked up. This is a nice example of an early Tama snare from the Royal Star series. 5 x 14 steel shell, and a well built and smoothly working parallel strainer system.

80's Pearl Maple Snare - Parallel Strainer

This is a fairly recent acquisition. It's an 8 x 14 Pearl maple snare with a parallel strainer system, 2 x 10 lugs, and die cast hoops (these hoops are missing the snare guards that were originally bolted on). It came with the original muffler that had been removed by a previous owner; I haven't reinstalled it yet. The lacquer finish is somewhat aged and crazed but I'm likely to leave it as is.
