Another one I just completed this weekend. 6.5 x 14 birch ply snare shell, from Champagne Drum, with rerings installed.. I wrapped it with a nice rainbow sparkle from Precision Drum. I decided, for a retro look, to paint the inside a flat white, like early 60's Ludwig snares (I have an old Ludwig Pioneer snare with that interior). Edges are roundover with 45 inner cut. Yamaha lugs, Pearl type strainer, triple flange hoops. The rainbow sparkle wrap will look great under stage lights.

Ash - Wenge Segment Shell Snare
This 6.5 x 14 snare is based on a segment shell made of ash, with a wenge strip in the middle for a bit of contrast (I'm thinking it is not going to affect the tone of the snare very much). The shell is 3/8" thick, from Rhythm King Drums. All new hardware ("cocktail style" lugs from Drum Factory Direct - my go to supplier for most equipment, triple flange hoops from Candrum.ca - a Canadian supplier I've just started to buy some hardware from).

6 x 14 Birch Snare - Blue Pearl
I recently received some shells from Champagne Drum of Winnipeg, including this one, which was just slightly under 1/2 " thick. All new hardware, and used up my last piece of a nice Blue Pearl wrap.
